Description Gary White was a 71 year old sculler from Prarie Fire RC north of Winnipeg in excellent shape. He was a very accomplished and was a recent Canadian masters champ. He went out right after ice melt in rough conditions. Apparently he flipped and drowned in the frigid water. His body and battered boat were found downstream.
